ARO Completes Move to New Facility

Alpine Research Optics (ARO, Boulder, CO) completed the move into their new, 35,000 square foot building in December, 2003. This custom built facility includes 25,000 square feet of manufacturing and engineering space for substrate fabrication, coating and optomechanical design & assembly. In addition, all coating, inspection, cleaning and packaging is now performed under class 10,000 cleanroom conditions. The new company address is 6810 Winchester Circle Boulder, CO 80301; phone and fax numbers as well as e-mail addresses are unchanged.

"This expansion provides the extra capacity needed to meet the growing demand for our high damage threshold, high post-coated flat and deep ultraviolet optics," notes ARO President David Collier. "Moreover it also provides dedicated design, fabrication and metrology facilities for our optomechanical assembly activities – another area where we’re seeing strong market growth. In addition, we already have planning permission for an additional 30,000 square feet of manufacturing and research space as needed. This will give us all the resources necessary to stay at the forefront of high precision optics and optical system development."
